Why did I create this template?

I know the struggle of making decisions that feel good at the moment and terrible later on.

Liability is scary, but our lives depend on the decisions we make.

What's inside the template?

There are six decision making frameworks:-

Hard choice model - What's the gravity of the decision you want to make? This model helps you know how to handle it.

Eisenhower matrix - This helps one prioritize tasks based on their importance and urgency.

Second-order thinking - Can your decision withstand the test of time? Avoid making ones that end up being liabilities

Six thinking hats - Look at things from 6 different lenses or perspectives so you don't overlook important ones.

Decision matrix - This is especially useful for hard decisions which have many factors at play all with different weights

Ladder of inference - Don't just jump to conclusions, question your beliefs, assumptions, etc. based on reality

The ladder of inference, for example, helps one sit back, reflect, and rethink preconceived assumptions, interpretations, conclusions, and beliefs that we pretty much make on auto-pilot.

Six hats thinking, on the other hand, helps one wear different hats so they can look at options from different perspectives.

Those and all other models help us engage a little more with our thinking to build more clarity in what we do.
