How to Connect Claude to Notion (2026 Setup Guide)

Open Claude. Left sidebar: Customize, then Connectors. Add connector, search Notion, connect. Notion's authorization page asks which workspace. Continue. You should see a connected success message.
Restart Claude. Until you do, Notion tools will not show up. He puts both apps side by side and asks what is in the workspace. Claude finds a tasks database and asks permission before writing.
Permissions are per action. Create is one allow. Update is another. He hits Always allow on each so the next edit does not pause. Then: add a task, then update that task with a longer description, watching the Notion page change live.
