About this template

Basic Dev Portfolio is a free Notion template for developers who want a portfolio they can send as a link today rather than a personal site they will finish some weekend. It is one page, divided into the sections a hiring manager or client actually scans.

What is inside

  • About Me — your name, photo and current job title
  • My Skills — technical and soft skills as a two-column bullet list
  • Socials — LinkedIn, GitHub, Twitter, Dev.to and anything else worth linking
  • Experience — each role with job title, company, duration and what you were responsible for
  • Education — degrees, relevant coursework, honours, bootcamps and online courses, newest first
  • Projects — name, description, tech used, and links to the code and the live demo
  • Blogs — posts you have written, each linked with a one-line summary

Skills and socials

Skills sit in a bullet list rather than a rated bar chart, which keeps them scannable and keeps you from inventing a percentage for CSS. The socials block is a plain list of handles, so a reader can get from the portfolio to your GitHub in one click.

Experience and education

Work history runs in reverse chronological order, each role carrying job title, company, dates and bullet-point responsibilities so the section can be skimmed. Education follows the same shape and has room for coursework, honours and the courses that are not degrees.

Projects and writing

The projects section is where the portfolio earns its keep: each entry has a description, the stack it was built on, a screenshot, and links to the repository and the deployed site. The blogs section does the same for anything you have written about your work.

Who it is for

Developers at any stage — a first junior application, a freelancer sending work to a prospect, or a senior who wants one link that is more current than their CV.
